Peanut Butter Toast Crunch Cereal

Cinnamon Toast Crunch is my favorite cereal of all time, so how would its family member Peanut Butter Toast Crunch do in our household? We all love to have peanut butter on our toast from time to time, and it even says that it is made with real peanut butter right on the box so we were excited to get it in our bowls.

Peanut Butter Toast Crunch Cereal:

Originality – when you think about toast, you think of butter, cinnamon, and peanut butter so it is a great idea for an extension of the brand. The surprise here is that they did not go after a known peanut butter brand name to partner it with.

Aftertaste – No aftertaste.

Mouth Feel – Same as Cinnamon Toast Crunch. Crunchy at first without hurting your mouth and even when they get soaked provide a smoother texture that is still enjoyable.

Sweetness – Nice level of sweetness

Flavor – The house had all different thoughts on the flavor. I thought it was perfect and you can taste the peanut butter, but also the toast taste. It is not the same as a peanut butter cereal taste. Jocelin Cap said there was not enough peanut butter taste with Kid C saying too much PB taste to round it out. Take that all for what you will.

Look – Like the look like little pieces of toast.

Packaging – You know you are eating a Toast Crunch Cereal with the bold colored lettering and our friendly baker holding on to a jar of peanut butter labelled “PB”. The color of the box makes sure you are not picking up one of the other Toast Crunch Cereal options.

Around the Table – It is interesting that we all thought it had differing levels of peanut butter and that affected our scores. Jocelin Cap commented that it tasted like Cinnamon Toast Crunch without the cinnamon and I went on to eat this for a week straight.

The following scores (out of 5) were recorded during our cereal taste testing:
Damon Cap – 4.5
Jocelin Cap – 2
Kid C – 4
Kid N – does not like peanut butter
